It is no doubt that mental health should be a very important part of our lives. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health and with World Health Day on April 7th, the month of April is all about improving our physical and mental well-being. At Devoteewear we believe they both go hand in hand when we are enduring an ongoing pandemic and the hardships that have come with it.
If we are not feeling our best on the inside, it shows on the outside.
Never wait until too late, and always incorporate methods to help improve your mental health. There is a variety of suggestions from our Devoteewear team that can help:
- yoga
- Daily affirmations
- Stay active
- Calling/meeting friends and family
- Self-help books and podcasts
- Meditation
- Eat well. Drink lots of water.
- Take a minute to breathe and repeat a couple of times daily.
- Professional help if that’s an option
The key to sticking to a new habit and or goal is finding something that works for you. Seems cliché but the proof is in the pudding. Consistency and discipline are key when it comes to our fitness journeys, but the same thing can be said for our mental journeys. Keeping yourself accountable but also being mindful that it is okay to have bad days is important. We can only do our best and that is enough especially with what we are coping with.
Prioritize your mental health by setting boundaries, allowing yourself to have good and bad days and celebrate your strength.
